In this study, the company’s engineers developed several new features to more closely mimic the body’s natural motion and deliver optimal comfort to users of Horizon ellipticals. These features include a more upright body position that feels more natural than bending over, handles that are closer together that also feels more natures, a lower step-on height that makes the machine easier to mount, and a heavier flywheel that delivers a smoother motion.

Other features are a flatter elliptical motion and an overlapping pedal motion that more closely resembles the motion of the feet when running.
